Bonding Solutions for rubber and fabric. A market leader in the treatment of textiles fabrics for adhesion to a full range of rubber compounds.

Welcome to Compotex

Composite Textiles Limited is a market leader in the treatment of textile fabrics for adhesion to a full range of rubber compounds.

Founded in the UK in 1994, Composite Textiles provides bonding, priming and adhesion solutions to the textile and rubber industries. We dip for adhesion to Natural Rubber, SBR, Neoprene, Nitrile, Silicone, EPDM, Butyl and many more elastomers.

Our expertise is in water-based bonding chemistry. Our mission is to develop chemical and processing technology for the textile and rubber industry to replace traditional solvent manufacturing processes.

Our technology is solvent free. Our bonding solutions allow our customers to remove solvents from their production processes.

Composite Textiles has specialist dipping and priming machinery. This machinery is ideal for most woven and knitted fabrics, and for a wide range of chemical dips.

Unlike most companies, our machinery is ideal for small quantity dipping. Our capability for product development and niche market manufacturing is exceptional.

We offer a production trial service of lengths of fabric from about 10 metres, with minimum order quantities of 100 metres of fabric.

Dip Concentrations and Adhesion Tue, 15 May 2012 07:41:17 +0000 - Most companies that dip textiles for adhesion to rubber compounds lack the flexibility to alter or modify dip concentrations or process specifications. This is because the machinery used is set up for high volume manufacturing. Small runs can be done by these companies, but only if using the similar standard specifications. These limitations are not [...]

Characteristics of Polyester Thu, 26 Apr 2012 09:31:51 +0000 - Polyester fabric is not as widely used in the rubber industry as polyamide (nylon) fabric. However, polyester yarn is used with polyamide yarn in EP conveyor belting fabric, and is widely used in reinforcement for silicone rubber, particularly for hoses and seals. Polyester is generally quite resistant to heat, and is not appreciably affected by [...]

Storage of Primed Fabric for Adhesion to Silicone Rubber Thu, 05 Apr 2012 07:46:54 +0000 - In the last ten years, Composite Textiles has become a market leader in water based bonding solutions for fabric to silicone rubber. This water based technology is replacing solvent technology. Fabrics treated with solvent systems have short shelf life. With time, the active chemistry deteriorates. This can cause technical problems with customers, and increased variability. [...]
